Track and Field Viewing Party

Please join the Georgia Track Club for our inaugural Pro Track and Field Viewing Party at Cypress Street Pint and Plate on Saturday February 7th from 6 - 8 PM. All TVs will be tuned to the first stop on the yearly pro indoor track circuit: the New Balance Boston Indoor Grand Prix. We will have food specials for all GTC fans, and will be joined by GTC's roster of Olympic athletes to offer commentary and insight to the behinds the scenes stories of the athletes competing. USA National Championship

Next up for the Georgia Track Club are the USA Track and Field Outdoor National Championships in Sacramento, California from June 26–29. GTC athletes competing are Reese Hoffa, Christian Taylor, Justin Gaymon, Kristi Castlin, Chaunte Lowe, Monica Hargrove, and DeeDee Trotter.

Nike Prefontaine Classic

This was the 3rd stop on the IAAF’s prestigious Diamond League Circuit, and the GTC was well represented with Christian Taylor, Reese Hoffa, and Chaunte Lowe competing. I traveled to Eugene specifically to support our GTC athletes. Resse Hoffa started things off for the GTC Friday night with an impressive win over a top field in the shot put. Chaunte Lowe and Christian Taylor competed on Saturday, with Christian placing 2nd in the triple jump. Aries Merritt was also in attendance, but did not compete because of injury.

The Drake Relays

The Drake Relays is one of the oldest and most iconic track and field meets in the world. With a new title sponsor in Hy Vee, it is now also the biggest payday in the USA for track and field, with marque event winners walking away with a $25,000 check. The Georgia Track Club was well represented at the meet, and performed extremely well. Dr. Josh Glass was contracted as the sports medicine provider for all the professional athletes in attendance, which worked out well for me to treat our athletes.
